Do you recognise the well known person in the bottom right of the picture? He played for Milton at this time but was injured.
Just over a week after the Junior Cup success in 1962 the club met Foxton again in the division 1a v 1b play off. This time Foxton ran out winners by 3-0.
During the 1960’s and 1970’s the club achieved promotion to the premier league and then relegation very 3 years. It achieved a unique double in 1964 winning the Premier League cup 5-3 against Fordham and in the same year being relegated back to division 1. Consequently the club could not defend the trophy.
The club now plays at its fourth ground – the venues being:
- 1946-1964 Eastern electricity ground behind Milton Hall
- 1994-65 Fen Road
- 1965-1990 Coles Road
- 1991 - The Sycamores.
